Holiday Shipping Deadline

While no carrier will guarantee delivery on regular shipments during the holidays, the carriers all publish recommended ship by dates.  This year, when you add in our order to fulfillment time, orders need to be received in the TCR app by 12/13.  We know that many orders received after that will still make it but to provide clear expectations to your buyers we recommend a clear cut off of  December 13th.

Buyers recognize that coffee is a great gift and when you frame the policy clearly to promote the benefit of it being fresh roasted , a little planning will be worth it to them.

New Custom Bag Policy Goes Takes Effect Jan 1, 2026

In order to help us manage the costs associated with this program, the large number of bags and abandoned bags we have on hand, all custom bags delivered after Jan 1 will have a storage and use fee of $10/month per box.  A Custom Bag subscription must be in place prior to finalizing your bag order.

Bags currently on hand will be grandfathered in until July 1, 2026.   This will give you time to make sales necessary to get to HVP (High Volume Partner) status.

All HVP brands will be excluded from this fee.

Coffee of the Month for December

Direct Trade Kenya - AA

Roast Level - Medium/Light

Score - 85

REGION: Kirinyaga County

FARM: Kariru Farm

Cooperative : The Baragwi Farmers Co-operative Society Limited

VARIETIES: SL28, Ruiru 11 and SL 34

PROCESSING: Washed, sun-dried on raised beds

ALTITUDE: 1600 to 1900 MASL

GRADE: AA

Notes:  Dark Chocolate, Grapefruit, red and green grapes.

Kariru farm has been family operated farm since the 60’s and is located on

the rich volcanic soils found on the slopes of snowcapped mount Kenya. The

cool and refreshing highland air and evenly distributed rainfall balances out

the year-round equatorial sunlight allowing the berries to develop a vibrantly

rich aroma giving you a full cup for your favorite morning cup of coffee. Also,

the rich volcanic soils are deep, well drained and have a lot of organic

material that are beneficial for coffee. The cherry is hand sort before

submitting it for processing, removing coffee that is either not ripe, or too ripe,

and can cause a defect in the cup. Small things like this make a huge

difference in the resulting coffee.

Processing Times:  Currently all lines are operating at 2-3 business days.  Expect that to be 2-4 during the time between Thanksgiving and January 15th.

Please be sure to plan well in advance for all scheduled events.  Three weeks is best with anything under 2 being extremely risky.

We cannot expedite orders from 10/15-1/15.

If you are struggling in any way and are not seeing a steady increase in sales, don't hesitate to ask for help.  Email at any time for a brand review or to ask questions.
