January COTM, New Products and Services for 2026 and Other News

We hope you are enjoying the holiday season and the current demand.

From November 15–December 15, we shipped 74% more orders than the same period last year. Some of this growth is due to increased demand, and some is driven by strong sales of new products. Functional Coffee, Matcha, and Instant Coffee are all growing at rates faster than expected. If you are not currently offering these products, now is likely the right time to consider them.

There is no Partner Growth & Insight Meeting this month.

Fulfillment times across all product lines are 2–4 business days, with the vast majority of orders shipping in 2–3 days. Way to go, Fulfillment Team!

The cutoff for orders to arrive by Christmas was December 13, though many orders received after that date will still arrive on time. All roast schedules are currently running at full capacity, so expedited orders are not available for the remainder of the year.

Holiday Hours
The roastery will be closed on December 24 and December 25 so our team can spend time with their families. We will also close early on December 31 and will be closed on January 1.

The Q1 2026 calendar has been updated with new topics and adjusted meeting times based on partner survey results.

We are also adding several new services in response to partner feedback. These will include:

  • FDA-compliant address service (not associated with TCR)

  • Membership in our Collective

  • Business Builder Membership

  • Elite Business Partner Program

Some details are still being finalized and will be discussed during the January 8 meeting.

Coffee of the Month – January

Guatemala

We are very excited about this direct trade lot.

Roast: Medium
Origin: Single-Origin Guatemala
Location: Chimiche, San Pedro Necta, Huehuetenango
Altitude: 1,500–1,900 MASL
Varietals: Bourbon, Caturra
Process: Fully washed; fermented for 28 hours, then patio-dried for 10 days

Cupping Notes: Delicate acidity, apricot, clementine, milk chocolate, light-bodied with a juicy mouthfeel and floral aftertaste
Farmer: Jorge Méndez and family

“I just wanted to own one coffee plant.”

That was the dream of Don Jorge Méndez when he was just nine years old, picking cherries on Finca El Limonar for 25 cents a day—barely enough to buy a few tortillas. He worked long days on steep slopes, doing one of the hardest jobs in coffee, holding onto a dream that once seemed impossible.

While picking coffee in Agua Dulce, Jorge learned the value of coffee—how to buy, sell, and recognize quality. Over time, he saved enough to purchase his first lots: El Apiario (The Apiary) and El Panal (The Honeycomb).

At that altitude, coffee wouldn’t grow at first, so Jorge planted corn while experimenting with new varieties until he discovered how to make coffee thrive. In 2022, after forty years of hard work and perseverance, his story came full circle when he purchased Finca El Limonar—the very farm where he picked coffee as a child.

The land was abandoned, but Jorge and his family restored it lot by lot, rebuilding the soil and nurturing it back to life through organic practices. Today, Jorge works alongside his children, who now manage much of the day-to-day operations across all three farms, caring for both the coffee and the family’s eight apiaries.

What began as the dream of owning a single coffee plant has become a legacy of resilience, family, and sweet, enduring growth.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions—or if you are not seeing the growth you expected during this season.
