June Coffee of the Month and Other Updates

We are very excited about the Coffee of the month for June: Panama

Roast Level: Medium

Region: Santa Clara, Renacimiento, Chiriqui, Panama

Grower: Finca Santa Teresa

Altitude:  1400-1600 MASL

Soil: Volcanic Loam

Certifications: Conventional

Process:  Fully Washed and dried in the sun

Variety: Catuai, Caturra

Cupping Notes: White Grape Juice, Citrus, Chocolate

Santa Teresa has 240 acres cultivated with coffee, meticulously divided into 20 plots with distinct landscape and micro-climates, which influence the maturation and ultimate quality of a coffee seed in different ways.  In addition to a mindful and environmentally balanced approach to farm management, Santa Teresa has an experienced team and onsite infrastructure at the farm to ensure attention to detail during the harvest. This caturra/catuai lot's ripe cherries are floated to remove less dense and damaged seeds, and then depulped, fermented, washed and  placed on raised beds and turned regularly over a period of 8 to 12 days.

Don't Forget Today's Training Meeting - Getting Your Brand Ready to Launch/Relaunch.

Reminder:  Trees for Education - TCR's own sustainability initiative's onboarding meeting is on May 23rd.  All those signed up on the interest list will receive an invite.

Fulfillment Times on all lines is 1-3 business days: While this is great for customer service, it also means if you need to change an order you need to put the request in ASAP.  Once an order has tracking assigned, it cannot be modified or cancelled.

The single largest reason for delayed orders is missing labels.  Please do not list or sell any product that does not have an approved label on file. If you do and receive the email notification, please quickly respond with the correct label # to print.  Remember we only have access to your labels when they are attached to a valid order or when you provide the actual label #.  This gives you full control of your labels but also full responsibility for maintaining them.  Without a valid label, we cannot ship your oder.

USPS PADDED MAILER ALERT

This week we discovered (Thanks to one of our partners) that the USPS padded mailers are no longer considered recyclable.  This mailer plays a huge role in our shipping process.  We have contacted USPS for clarification (same product was curbside recyclable and now is not).  This does mean that we have made a change to our current policy.  Most of our shipping materials are curbside recyclable.  We will keep you updated as we move through this process.  Discontinuing the use of this flat rate product would significantly impact the overall delivery cost of all of our drop ship products and we want to avoid that at this time.

Have a great week and as always, don't hesitate to join a Thursday ZOOM if you have any questions or send an email at any time!
