November Coffee of the Month, Meeting Reminder and Other News.

We are very excited about our November Coffee of the Month:  GUATEMALA

Region - Huehuetenango, Guatemala

Farm - 400 family owned farms in Huehuetenango

Altitude - 1800-2000 M

Variety - Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra

Soil - Clay Mineral

Process - Fully Washed and Sun Dried

Certification - Conventional

Roast Level - Medium

Cupping Notes - Medium body and bright acidity.  Notes of brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, milk chocolate with a hint of citrus.  A very well balanced cup.

This great lot is sourced from four-hundred family owned farms located within the municipality of Huehuetenango in the department of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. On average, producers cultivate coffee on 2 acres of land intercropped with corn and beans produced for their own consumption. The producers have very little infrastructure to process their own coffee so they have partnered with an export company called Unitrade Coffee, which has a centrally located wet mill in Huehuetenango where producers can deliver their cherry. In addition to supporting coffee producers and improving their access to international markets, Unitrade established an organization called CoffeeCare (focused on education, nutrition, and health) to ensure that producers have healthy places to send their children to learn, grow and play while they are harvesting coffee.

NEWS!

We are still working on an update to the label guide.  We have requested more specific info from the USDA, received some guidance and requested some clarification.  As soon as this is received, we will complete the update and finalize this version. If you have missed the meetings and the conversation, it is in response to the USDA's Strengthening Organic Enforcement rule that took effect on March 19th.  Please be sure you are not making any illegal/inaccurate organic claims.  It is both unethical and illegal to imply that your coffee is "certified organic" or to use the USDA ORGANIC labels/logo in any way.

FULFILLMENT TIMES-All lines are running at 1-3 business days with all Amazon and Tik Tok orders shipping well within the 2 day SLA.

LIMIT ON NEW PARTNERS - 5/week until January 15th.

It is that time of year when order volumes really take off.  To ensure that our team is able to continue to provide the level of service and speed we provide, we will be limiting new stores to 5 per week.  If you are already in the process, don't worry - your spot is secure.  If you have been debating about when to launch, please let us know and schedule your start date.   There is still plenty of time to launch and take advantage of the HUGE holiday demands we expect this year.

Regular Weekly ZOOM this week - Thursday & 1:00.  You don't have to be a new partner to join this meeting, the Q&A portion is for everyone and you are welcome to jump on, ask and leave.   Same ZOOM invite as always.

Have a great week and don't hesitate to ask if you need help/have questions!!
