The Holiday Coffee Season Is Here!
November marks the beginning of the busiest stretch of the year for coffee brands, and at Temecula Coffee Roasters, we have been preparing for it for months.
Holiday shopping, seasonal promotions, gift purchases, and increased demand for freshly roasted coffee all create opportunities for our partners. They also place additional demands on roasting, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping.
Our focus for the remainder of the year is simple: support our existing partners, maintain product quality, and fulfill orders as efficiently as possible.
This month, we are sharing our holiday shipping recommendations, an update on our completed roastery expansion, several operational changes, our November partner meeting topics, and an exceptional Indonesian coffee recently featured in our Roasters Collective cupping session.
November Coffee of the Month: Indonesia Flores Bajawa Ngura
Roast Level: Medium/Dark
Flavor Profile: Rich Cocoa, Subtle Citrus, Earthy Undertones & a Smooth, Full Body
From the Volcanic Highlands of Flores, Indonesia
Our November Coffee of the Month comes from the beautiful island of Flores, part of Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands. Named Flores by Portuguese explorers, meaning "flowers," the island is known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush mountain forests, and generations of smallholder coffee farmers.
The Bajawa region, located in the highlands of central Flores near Mount Inerie, is particularly well known for its coffee production. Here, coffee is cultivated on small family farms in mineral-rich volcanic soils, where the tropical climate and higher elevations provide favorable growing conditions for Arabica coffee.
Coffee farming is an important part of the local agricultural economy, with traditional growing and processing methods passed down through generations.
A Bold, Smooth Indonesian Coffee
In the cup, expect rich cocoa notes, a smooth, full body, and a subtle hint of citrus, complemented by the earthy, aromatic characteristics that make Indonesian coffees so distinctive.
The coffee's traditional wet-hulled processing, known locally as giling basah, contributes to its heavier body, subdued acidity, and distinctive flavor profile.
For customers who enjoy a rich, smooth coffee with plenty of character, Flores Bajawa Ngura is an excellent choice. It offers something different from traditional Central and South American coffees while remaining approachable and enjoyable for everyday coffee drinkers.

Holiday Shipping Recommendations
The holiday season is here, and order volumes are increasing! Our fulfillment times are currently averaging 2.3 business days, but we expect this to gradually increase as holiday demand grows. Between Thanksgiving and January 15, fulfillment may reach 4 business days on occasion.
Christmas Shipping Recommendation: December 14, 2026
Orders received by December 14 will have the best chance of arriving by Christmas Eve. This is a recommendation, not a delivery guarantee, as carrier transit times and seasonal delays are outside our control.
To ensure fairness to all partners, expedited production requests will not be available from November 1 through January 15. Orders will be processed in their normal production sequence, allowing our team to maintain consistent service during the busiest time of year.
We encourage all partners to plan promotions accordingly, communicate shipping expectations clearly, and allow additional time for wholesale orders, events, and holiday gifts. Remember that fulfillment time is separate from carrier transit time.
Our Roastery Expansion Is Complete!
We are pleased to share that our latest roastery expansion was completed in October!
This investment was designed to support our growing partner network, improve production capacity, and prepare our operation for continued growth.
The completed expansion includes:
-
Additional Roasting Capacity: Installation of our newest coffee roaster to support increasing production demand.
-
Expanded Fulfillment Lines: Additional production and packaging capacity to help our team process orders more efficiently.
-
New Single-Use Cup Production Line: New equipment to support our growing single-use coffee offerings.
-
New Frak Pack Equipment: Additional packaging equipment to support expanded Frak Pack production.
These improvements represent a significant investment in our ability to serve partners as order volumes continue to grow.
Although the production expansion is complete, work on our new training room and office space will be delayed until after the holidays.
Prioritizing Our Existing Partners Through the Holidays
As our partner network continues to grow, we are making two temporary adjustments to our services for the remainder of 2026.
Full Website Design Services
We are pausing all full website design projects until after the holidays.
This will allow our team to concentrate on supporting active brands, maintaining production schedules, and responding to partner needs during our busiest season.
New Store Onboarding
We are also limiting new store onboarding to 5 stores per week through the end of the year.
We recognize that new brands are eager to launch, but responsible growth means balancing new opportunities with the service commitments we have already made.
These temporary changes are intended to protect the experience of our existing partners while allowing us to continue welcoming new businesses at a manageable pace.
Fairtrade Organic Coffee Program Now Available
We are pleased to announce that our new Fairtrade Organic Coffee Program is now available to participating partners.
The program provides access to nine certified Fairtrade Organic coffees, giving brands an opportunity to offer independently certified products backed by recognized Fairtrade and USDA Organic standards.
Participating brands receive the onboarding information, labeling guidance, and approval process needed to offer these coffees through the TCR app.
This is another step in our commitment to providing high-quality products and meaningful opportunities for our partners to differentiate their brands.

As we approach the end of 2026, our November meetings will focus on applying what we have learned, evaluating business performance, and preparing for the year ahead.

Make the Most of the Holiday Season
Holiday sales do not always require new products, complicated promotions, or deep discounts.
For many coffee brands, the greatest opportunity is to make it easier for customers to purchase products they already know and enjoy.
Consider focusing your holiday marketing on a few practical opportunities:
-
Highlight your best-selling coffees rather than overwhelming customers with too many choices.
-
Make coffee subscriptions easy to find and purchase.
-
Promote coffee as a thoughtful, practical gift for friends, family, coworkers, and clients.
-
Reconnect with previous customers who may be ready to purchase again.
-
Communicate holiday shipping expectations clearly and consistently.
Most importantly, remember that a successful holiday season is not measured by order volume alone. Customer satisfaction, repeat purchases, and the ability to deliver on your promises are equally important.
Growing Together
As we enter the final weeks of 2026, we want to thank our partners for the continued trust they place in Temecula Coffee Roasters.
The growth we are experiencing is a direct reflection of the businesses you are building and the customers who continue to choose your brands.
Our recent investments in roasting and fulfillment capacity, along with our temporary limits on new projects and onboarding, are part of our commitment to sustainable growth.
We expect the coming weeks to be busy, and there will undoubtedly be days when production and shipping take longer than usual. Our team will continue working to maintain quality, communicate expectations, and support our partners throughout the season.
Please don't hesitate to send questions or reach out if you are struggling - demand is strong and if you need help capturing sales, we are happy to help.
