Coffee Season Is Here
October is when coffee moves beyond being part of the morning routine and becomes part of the season.
Cooler mornings arrive, schedules settle in and customers begin thinking about gatherings, gifts and the holidays ahead. Coffee becomes easier to talk about, easier to share and increasingly relevant as both a daily purchase and a gift.
For coffee brands, October is the month to make decisions. Holiday offers need to be clear, products need to be ready and customers need a reason to choose your brand before the busiest weeks arrive.
This month, we will share the results of our Fall Demand Survey, introduce new product opportunities and help partners prepare for the holidays without unnecessarily expanding their catalogs or making fulfillment more complicated.
October Coffee of the Month: Kenya Nyeri Gura Peaberry
Roast Level: Medium/Light
Flavor Profile: Blackberry, kiwi, mango, mint and white wine
Bright, fruit-forward and wonderfully complex, this exceptional peaberry comes from approximately 500 smallholder producers who deliver their coffee cherries to the Gura Factory in Kenya’s renowned Nyeri County.
The coffee is grown between 1,700 and 1,890 meters in mineral-rich volcanic soil. It brings together some of Kenya’s most respected coffee varieties: SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian.
In the cup, juicy blackberry and kiwi develop into ripe mango sweetness, followed by refreshing mint and a clean, white-wine-like brightness.
At the Gura Factory, freshly harvested coffee cherries are carefully fermented, washed, soaked and sorted by density before being slowly dried on raised beds for two to three weeks. This meticulous process creates the clarity, vibrant acidity and layered fruit character that make high-elevation Kenyan coffees so distinctive.
Peaberries form when a coffee cherry develops one small, rounded seed instead of the usual two flat-sided seeds. They are separated during sorting and prized for their concentrated, lively cup profile.
This is a memorable Coffee of the Month for customers who enjoy bright, expressive and fruit-forward specialty coffee.

TCR All-Partner Meeting
What Coffee Buyers Want Now: TCR Partner Update
Thursday, October 29 at 10:00 AM PT | Zoom
This meeting will bring the Fall Demand Survey findings directly to TCR partners and connect them to the decisions individual brands are making now.
We will review current demand, new products, product availability, operational updates and the priorities that matter as we enter the holiday season.
Current Fulfillment Times: 2–4 Business Days
Fulfillment times across all product lines are currently running two to four business days.
We continue to experience record sales, so please plan ahead for holiday promotions, scheduled events and other date-sensitive orders. Fulfillment time is the time required to produce and prepare an order for shipment. Carrier transit time begins after the order leaves our facility, and unexpected delivery delays can still occur.
For scheduled events, we recommend placing your order at least three weeks in advance. This allows time for production, carrier transit and possible delivery issues without putting your event inventory at unnecessary risk.
Expedited production is not currently available. We may make a rare exception when production capacity allows, but brands should never plan around that possibility. Moving one order ahead in production would be unfair to the other brands already scheduled on the roast list.
Build a Clearer Holiday Offer
October is the time to make holiday decisions—not simply begin thinking about them.
Customers do not necessarily need more choices. They need a clear reason to choose your coffee and an easy way to purchase it for themselves or someone else.
Before the end of the month, every coffee brand should be able to answer:
- Which two or three products best represent the brand?
- Can an existing product become a holiday gift without creating another SKU?
- Is the pricing clear and sustainable?
- Are subscriptions easy to find and understand?
- Does the website clearly explain why someone should choose this coffee?
- Are the product descriptions, photography and ordering process ready for holiday traffic?
- Is there a simple plan for reconnecting with previous customers?
October’s meetings will help partners work through these decisions and use the Fall Demand Survey to distinguish what customers are actually requesting from what simply creates more work.
October Partner Offer: 50% Off a CBTAI Brand Assessment
A strong product is only part of what makes a coffee brand successful. Customers also need to quickly understand who you are, why your brand exists and why they should trust you.
During October, partners can receive 50% off a Coffee Brand Trust Assessment Index—or CBTAI—review.
Use promo code REVIEW at checkout to receive the discount.
The assessment provides an outside review of the digital credibility signals customers encounter when they visit your brand, including:
- Brand story and clarity
- Product organization and descriptions
- Photography and visual consistency
- Transparency and trust signals
- Website experience
- Calls to action
- Community and social proof
The goal is not simply to provide a score. It is to identify the practical changes most likely to improve how customers understand and respond to your brand.
Coffee Sales Are Growing—Let Us Help You Participate in That Growth
Coffee sales across our partner network are up, and we continue to see customers responding to brands with clear positioning, credible messaging and products that are easy to understand and purchase.
That does not mean every brand is experiencing the same growth.
If your sales are flat, declining or simply not where you expected them to be, please do not hesitate to ask for help. Sometimes the problem is the product mix. More often, it is the message, presentation, pricing or the path customers are being asked to follow.
You do not have to solve that alone. Join the meetings, ask questions and let us help you identify what may be getting in the way.
October is one of the best coffee months of the year. Let’s use it well.
