It's time to be thinking Summer!
The numbers are in and Cold Brew is once again on buyers minds. We recommend that you have both a favorite coffee and cold brew method to recommend. Buyers respond well to story telling and sharing your favorite is a great way to connect - remember connecting messaging is the single most important thing to specialty grade coffee buyers.
Speaking of what buyers want, don't forget to join us on Thursday May 29th @9:00 Pacific for our monthly 'All Partner Board Meeting' as we discuss the latest survey results and this meeting will include:
- Update on the supply chain including the tariff impacts on coffee, tea and production costs.
- Review of demand survey results
- Best practice for successful coffee companies
- Review of websites and brand messaging - submit your site address and any questions prior to the meeting for a free(public) version of our review service
- Q&A(as time allows) - submit questions ahead of the meeting to be sure to be included
Tariffs are having a huge impact on COGS so you won't want to miss this discussion and how to give buyers what they want at a price they are willing to pay and continue to take advantage of the unprecedented demand for great well branded, specialty grade coffee.

Established in 1987, Finca La Flor is situated in the Matagalpa department just near the border of Jinotega. The Farm rests on the slopes of the Peñas Blancas mountains just north of the town of La Dalia. Don Haroldo Altamirano owns and operates the farm, which is about 20 manzanas in size (about 14 hectares).
Marsellesa and catimor are the primary varieties of coffee being grown. After hand-picking only ripe cherry, Haroldo Altamirano processes these as both washed and natural(this lot is fully washed). The husk, or “cascara” is also separated from the cherry processed coffee to be offered as a type of tea drink.
Don Haroldo and his family have had a rich history of growth, loss and rebuilding over the years.
The Altamirano family is currently developing a health clinic to provide care for the farm’s employees and their families. The area around the farm suffered devastating loss of life and property when both hurricanes Eta and Iota hit Nicaragua in late 2020. Ernesto and local Southern California LatinX community leaders came together to provide aid in Nicaragua and other hard-hit Central American countries.
We are excited to be able to offer this lot and to support Finca La Flor and the great work they are doing.
Sales remain strong and if your brand is not experiencing growth, please don't hesitate to ask for help and attend our training and general meetings.
Have a great month!!
